Privacy Policy
Effective: June 3, 2026 · Last updated: June 3, 2026
Loopdine ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit loopdine.com, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Short version: We collect your name and email when you join the waitlist, plus a few details that help us understand who's signing up. We use it to email you about Loopdine's launch. We don't sell your data. You can ask us to delete it any time by writing to
hello@loopdine.com.
1. What we collect
When you sign up for our waitlist, we collect the information you provide on the form. Specifically:
Restaurant waitlist
- Your name
- Your work email address
- Your restaurant name
- The city where your restaurant operates
- The approximate number of locations you operate
Diner waitlist
- Your name
- Your email address
- The city where you live or eat most often
- The type of restaurants you frequent (cafés, tacos, etc.)
Automatically collected
When you visit the site, our hosting provider (Vercel) may log standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps. We use this only for security and operational diagnostics — never to identify individuals.
2. How we use your information
We use the information you provide for these specific purposes:
- To send you updates about Loopdine's launch — you joined a waitlist, so we'll email you when we're ready for you
- To invite restaurants into the pilot program if you signed up on the restaurant form
- To understand demand — aggregated, anonymized counts of which cities and restaurant types are signing up, so we know where to launch first
- To respond to questions you send us
We do not use your information for advertising, profile-building, or any purpose unrelated to Loopdine.
3. Who we share it with
We use a small number of third-party services to operate the site. They process your data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy obligations:
We do not sell or rent your data to anyone. We will only share your information with law enforcement when legally compelled to do so.
4. Cookies & analytics
loopdine.com uses minimal client-side storage:
- Browser localStorage — to remember if you've dismissed the cookie notice and to count which sections you scroll to (purely on your device, not transmitted to us).
- No third-party advertising cookies — we do not run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or social-media tracking SDKs.
- Vercel Analytics may be enabled in the future to count visits in aggregate. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and does not track individuals across sites.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have specific rights over your personal data:
If you're in the European Union or United Kingdom (GDPR)
- Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Right to erasure — ask us to delete your data
- Right to object — opt out of email communications at any time
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority
Our legal basis for processing your information is your consent, given when you submit the waitlist form.
If you're in California (CCPA / CPRA)
- Right to know what categories of personal information we collect and how we use them
- Right to delete your personal information
- Right to opt out of sale — we don't sell your data, but you have the right to confirm this
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@loopdine.com from the address you used to sign up. We respond within 30 days.
6. Security & retention
We protect your data with industry-standard measures: HTTPS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at our processors (Formspree, Vercel), and access controls limited to authorized Loopdine personnel.
We retain waitlist information until you ask us to delete it or until 24 months after Loopdine's public launch — whichever comes first. After that, we delete or anonymize records.
7. Children
Loopdine is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as we add features or as laws change. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we'll email people on the waitlist before the changes take effect.
Questions, requests, or concerns? Email hello@loopdine.com. We respond to all privacy-related requests within 30 days.
Heads up: Loopdine is a pre-launch waitlist; we're not yet operating the full product. This policy will be updated significantly before launch — likely with a Data Processing Addendum for restaurant customers and additional sections covering the diner mobile app. Anyone on the waitlist will be notified by email before those changes take effect.
