Privacy Policy
Effective: June 3, 2026 · Last updated: June 15, 2026
Loopdine ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through our mobile apps and our website (loopdine.com), how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Short version: In the app we collect your phone number (to sign you in), your location (only to show nearby missions and verify in-venue check-ins), and the screenshots you choose to submit (to verify your posts). On the website we collect your name and email if you join the waitlist. We never post on your behalf, we don't sell your data, and we don't track you across other apps or websites. You can ask us to delete your account or data any time by writing to
hello@loopdine.com.
1. What we collect
We collect different information depending on whether you use the app or the website.
Loopdine mobile app
- Phone number — to sign you in with a one-time SMS code. There is no password.
- Name and email — your display name and the email address we deliver gift-card rewards to.
- Location — coarse location to surface missions near you, and precise location only at the moment you submit a mission that requires an in-venue check-in. We never collect your location in the background.
- Photos you submit — the screenshots you choose to upload as proof of a post or review. We process them only to verify that mission; we never access the rest of your photo library.
- Activity & rewards — the missions you complete, points you earn, and rewards you redeem.
- Device & diagnostics — basic app performance and crash data to keep the app working.

Automatically collected
When you visit the site, our hosting provider (Vercel) may log standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps. We use this only for security and operational diagnostics — never to identify individuals.
2. How we use your information
We use the information you provide for these specific purposes:
- To send you updates about Loopdine's launch — you joined a waitlist, so we'll email you when we're ready for you
- To invite restaurants into the pilot program if you signed up on the restaurant form
- To understand demand — aggregated, anonymized counts of which cities and restaurant types are signing up, so we know where to launch first
- To respond to questions you send us
- To run the app — sign you in, show missions near you, verify the screenshots you submit, and credit your points
- To verify in-venue check-ins — compare your location to the restaurant only when a mission requires it
- To deliver rewards — send gift-card codes to the email on your account
We do not use your information for advertising, profile-building, or any purpose unrelated to Loopdine.
3. Who we share it with
We use a small number of third-party services to operate Loopdine. They process your data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy obligations:
- Supabase (app backend) — stores your account, phone-based sign-in, missions, points, and the screenshots you submit. See Supabase's privacy policy.
- Anthropic (AI verification) — the screenshot you submit is processed by an AI model to confirm it matches the mission. It is not used to train models. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Tremendous (rewards) — used to deliver gift-card rewards to your email when you redeem points. See Tremendous's privacy policy.
- Formspree (website forms) — processes waitlist signups so they reach our inbox. See Formspree's privacy policy.
- Vercel (hosting) — serves loopdine.com and app.loopdine.com. See Vercel's privacy policy.
We do not sell or rent your data to anyone. We will only share your information with law enforcement when legally compelled to do so.
4. Cookies & analytics
loopdine.com uses minimal client-side storage:
- Browser localStorage — to remember if you've dismissed the cookie notice and to count which sections you scroll to (purely on your device, not transmitted to us).
- No third-party advertising cookies — we do not run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or social-media tracking SDKs.
- Vercel Analytics may be enabled in the future to count visits in aggregate. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and does not track individuals across sites.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have specific rights over your personal data:
If you're in the European Union or United Kingdom (GDPR)
- Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Right to erasure — ask us to delete your data
- Right to object — opt out of email communications at any time
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority
Our legal basis for processing your information is your consent, given when you submit the waitlist form.
If you're in California (CCPA / CPRA)
- Right to know what categories of personal information we collect and how we use them
- Right to delete your personal information
- Right to opt out of sale — we don't sell your data, but you have the right to confirm this
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@loopdine.com from the address you used to sign up. We respond within 30 days.
6. Security & retention
We protect your data with industry-standard measures: HTTPS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at our processors (Formspree, Vercel), and access controls limited to authorized Loopdine personnel.
We retain waitlist information until you ask us to delete it or until 24 months after Loopdine's public launch — whichever comes first. After that, we delete or anonymize records.
7. Children
Loopdine is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as we add features or as laws change. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we'll email people on the waitlist before the changes take effect.
Questions, requests, or concerns? Email hello@loopdine.com. We respond to all privacy-related requests within 30 days.
Your data, your call. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time — from the app's Profile settings or by emailing
hello@loopdine.com. We confirm deletion within 30 days.
